Have you been bitten by Shark?

I haven't been a big fan of lawyer movies since the early seasons of The Practice.

These don't usually appeal to me, well, because I'm not a lawyer. I've always been of the opinion that they don't usually reflect the reality of legal practice any more than most crime dramas reflect the day-to-day lives of the police. Now that never stopped me from watching NYPD Blue but then again, I fall back to one of my biggest arguments for series success - the characters.

Somebody send me some Heroes

Monday night I caught the pilot of Heroes. I have some mixed feelings about this series, however.

This isn't to say that I thought the pilot was a waste of time that could have been better spent trimming my toenails. I guess my apprehension is this . . . last fall there were three series that I really liked...

Six Degrees is a keeper

Thrusday night - and this is no mistake - I managed to sit down and watched ABC's pilot of Six Degrees.

According to the theory, everyone on this Earth is no stranger; we are all connected to each other through a chain of six people. Do you believe that is really possible?

I imagine that it is somehow possible that we can all be connected to each other in this manner, but do we need a TV series about that? My initial reaction when I saw this series is that I thought the effort would be pretty cool. I expected it to be something completely different, however . . .

So far Thursday night's not impressing me

Thursday night was a busy night so as I write these reviews I'm watching the pilots.

First off, I'm watching Kidnapped as I start to write these reviews. It's nearing the end so shortly I'll switch over to Jericho which I recorded.

I must admit, it's been a while, perhaps since Secret Window that I've seen Timothy Hutton in anything. But, he's always, at least in my humble opinion, a pretty good actor.

Tuesday night reviews

| | Comments (0)
It would seem that CBS has decided that Tuesday nights will be the night for action-packed, high-stakes drama.

Tonight I have reviews for two shows. Smith and The Unit. Although The Unit officially started last season, I chose to review it because - well, just because. But Smith's pilot aired tonight so it is officially a new show to review. However, the question of if either of these shows will survive is a bonafide question. So, with no further hesitation, on to the reviews...

Two new Reviews...

|
Tonight two new pilots ( that I watched ) aired.

The Class and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. I'll admit that at least one of them surprised me.

That is, I was unexpectedly surprised. But the real question is which one has the stuff that it takes to last? Before I start spewing forth with what I think worked, what didn't, and which of the two pilots I think have what it takes to last, I have a link to share . . .

Survivor - Cook Islands

|
Last night the latest season of Survivor started. As usual, I was watching.

I've been a fan of Survivor since the first season. Although this season was wrapped in controversy, I still intend to watch it till a winner is named.

Men in Trees

|
I thought it would be kind of fun and interesting to spew my two cents about the upcoming fall lineup this television season.

If I have the opportunity to watch each season premier, I will post what I think about it. I must admit that I'm no TV critic. My preferences and tastes are about as varied as the weather, but I am pretty good at picking the one's that will last. I have to kind of expand on that . . . I know what I like. I can usually pick what will last. My first review is Men in Trees.

The pilot aired last night ( 9/12/2006 ) and here's what I thought ...

By request of my daughter I'm posting a link to a game I found via Cynical C. If you like pong you'll probably like this as well. Play it here.
