Emerging Unscathed

Fortunately I emerged unscathed after telling my wife about the new laptop.

She found it quite humorous - my momentary weakness at controlling my impulsive desires. I showed her a camera that I was looking at on Friday night. She figured I was going to come home with a new camera on Saturday. The camera, however, would have ended up costing me more in the long run with all the new lenses, flash accessories, etc . . . so maybe I did control my impulsive desires.

Who knows?

In other news . . . I went to an interview for a new job today. I feel good about how it went - a little choppy in a couple areas - but overall, I think I did pretty well. I should hear something by the end of the week. Funny thing is that I applied for this job way back at the beginning of January. More news on that as it happens.

Good news. Enjoy the new laptop!

My husband just purchased a projector, screen and a killer surround system. I just told him to have fun, and get what he wanted. I think it just works best like that, besides, I just bought an old fashioned popcorn cart on wheels and a bubble/jet heated bathtub. So no complaining about his purchases, it's only fair. :)

Good luck on the job!

That smile you detected as her taking it as humorous, could have been amusement mixed with a bit of "great, that means he can't say anything when I go and buy that _________ (fill in the blank)! In fact, I'd say the great response she gave you is worth at least several purchases on her behalf....

I thought I should give you fair warning that I will be using this story in the on-going negotiations in my household re purchase of a new shiny pc. If you get a package with postage marked from Queensland, Australia then run for the hills it may go bang :)

Good luck with the job hunting
