The Challenger 3977

Just in case you're not getting incredibly bored with information from our trip to Nebraska . . . North Platte is rich in railroad history. At the city park, also named after Buffalo Bill Cody, are a couple preserved locomotives. This is one of them - a freight and passenger train built in 1943 and retired in 1961. It's the only one of this class on display in the world and known as "The Challenger 3977" - from the random photo series.
